Kriya Yoga: The Art of Super-Realization

Kriya Yoga is a concise work written by Swami Yogananda (1893–1952), author of Autobiography of a Yogi and attributed with introducing Kriya Yoga science to the West. In it, Yogananda disseminates the Kriya teachings he received from Yukteswar Giriji (his guru), who in turn was taught by Lahiri Mahasaya (his parents’ guru), who was taught by Babaji, the Supreme Master. This short book contains illustrations and detailed descriptions and instructions for three compact and extremely effective meditation practices and techniques:

  • Kriya Proper: The basic Kriya Pranayama technique
  • Maha Mudra: Preparatory technique for Kriya Proper
