Biophilia Live

This critically acclaimed documentary film by Nick Fenton and Peter Strickland presents the multidimensional concert based on Björk’s eighth studio album, Biophilia. Filmed in 2013 at Alexandra Palace in London, Biophilia Live features Björk and her band performing every song on Biophilia and more, using a broad variety of instruments: some digital, some traditional and some completely unclassifiable. Biophilia (a Greek word meaning “love of living”) is a groundbreaking multimedia extravaganza of a project that could not have been conceived of or executed by anyone other than Bjork: a visionary artist who, twenty-one years into her solo career, remains unpredictable yet magnetic. The film is a captivating record of an artist in full command of her idiosyncratic powers, an imaginative standalone artwork and a vital piece of the grand mosaic that is Biophilia.
